Why should I hire Finer Things Videography? Please visit our about us page for information on our company and employees.
Why should I hire a professional videographer for my wedding day? Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime experience. After months of careful planning to make your celebration perfect, your emotions will fly by in a heartbeat - laughter shared with friends and family as you prepare for your ceremony, eager anticipation as you walk down the aisle, tears of joy as you say your vows, a loving caress in your first dance, the fun and excitement of your reception. These moments are full of sights, sounds, and motion! And these memories are what are left after your wedding day is over. As professional wedding videographers, we capture emotions as only a moving picture can and preserve them for you to enjoy over and over again and to pass down to future generations.
We've already reserved a photographer, why should we have our wedding videotaped as well? Photographs are still an important part of capturing special events in our lives, but they don't tell the whole story. They can not actively capture the laughter, the spontaneity, the warmth, the love. Finer Things Videography records the action of the moment without the posing of photographs, and enables you to relive the memories much more vividly. It's also terrific having a video to share with family and friends who aren't able to be with you to celebrate your wedding day.
How long will it take to receive my completed DVD(s)? You will receive your DVDs within 30 days of your wedding day. In most cases, you will receive them within the first two weeks!
May I choose my own music for the video? Music during the ceremony and parts of the reception are typically the actual music you'll hear in your video. You are however encouraged to choose selections for the introduction, highlight, and photo montage. Selections may be provided on CD, or via MP3 audio files.
Can we acknowledge those involved in the wedding on our DVD? If you provide the wedding party names and roles, these will be incorporated into an end title sequence much as you see in a feature film. You may also include a prayer, poem, or a message to your friends and family as part of your custom titles. We will provide you with a questionaire 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding date, giving you the opportunity to provide all of this information.
How are the vows recorded? We use a professional grade wireless microphone system for the recording of the vows.
How far in advance should I book your services? To ensure availability, you should reserve your date as soon as it's known. Spring and summer dates fill up fast, so it's never too soon to book your wedding day with us.
What types of payment are acceptable? Cash, check, money order, and credit/debit cards via PayPal are acceptable payments.
What are the steps for arranging for a Finer Things Videography video? You can reserve your wedding date for a $500 deposit and a signed contract. Three to four weeks prior to your weddings date, you will be given a questionaire with options on song selections, special requests, etc. The remaining balance is due one week prior to your wedding day.
Do you provide your videography services outside of weddings? Absolutely! We can provide you with the same professional quality of work for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, school events/seminars, VHS to DVD transfers, and more. Please visit our other services page for more info.
